My name is Jon Kick and here is my story:

I was born in Lockport, NY in 1999 and I spent most of my life living in Middleport, NY. For elementary, middle, and high school I attended Royalton-Hartland. After high school, I went straight to the University at Buffalo (UB) to complete a bachelor’s degree. At UB, I was a biology major for two years until I switched majors. I completed my undergraduate career and received a bachelor’s degree in mathematical physics. Even though I obtained a degree, I was not finished with UB quite yet and I decided to pursue a master’s degree in data science. This decision was made for a few reasons; the main reason being data science is a new and very interesting field.

I am someone that is hungry for solving problems, as evident from my selection of problem solving heavy degrees. My goal is to live of life of solving porblems ranging from many different areas of interest.

Outside of academics, I am a lover of animals, a lover of art, an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and a fervent reader. I also have a great interest in the video gaming industry.
